Staff and volunteers at Corinium Museum – which is situated in Park Street, Cirencester – have been celebrating after the centre was awarded an extremely high score after a VisitEngland Quality Assured Visitor Attraction inspection.

The museum is managed by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Cotswold District Council and is visited by an assessor every year to make sure every aspect of the business, such as the efficiency of the booking process to the level of service provided, remains at a high standard.

This year the museum received a 91 per cent score by assessor Vicky Parr who praised staff for their ‘exceptional service’.

She said: “The highlight of the visit was the exceptional service received from Stephanie and Samantha – with maximum scores achieved, which means the museum has been put forward as a contender for the VisitEngland Welcome Accolade.

The museum’s director Emma Stuart said: “The fantastic score recognises the hard work of staff and volunteers across the museum service from website management to beautiful displays, cleanliness of the building and the visitor experience. We really value the scheme as it highlights best practice and recommends areas for improvement, ensuring we are continuing to offer excellent services for our customers.”
