A BAKERY with sites in Cirencester and Tetbury has won Great Taste Awards for the third year running. KNEAD Bakery’s cinnamon buns, tiramisu tarts and stollen buns all received awards in the national competition.
The cinnamon bun and tiramisu tart each received a two-star award, with the buns praised for a ‘buttery, light and decadent’ texture and the tart noted for its ‘silky espresso ganache’.
The stollen bun received a one-star award for its ‘indulgent’ and ‘wholesome’ flavour.
KNEAD Bakery was founded in 2020 by John Hawes and Kris Biggs, who both previously worked at a Michelin-starred hotel, and now has five sites, including locations in Black Jack Street, Cirencester, Elkstone Studios and Long Street, Tetbury. It is a Sister Company of Jesse Smith & WJ Castle Butchers & Delicatessen, a family owned company, based in Cirencester.
