The main focus of this session will be ‘How do we ease the lockdown to slowly restart the economy without causing a second spike in the virus’ and risking more lives.
We need to get the balance right, recognising the demographics of the Cotswolds which has a significant percentage of retired people as well as a large young workforce. Could certain sectors of the economy go back to work? If so what are your views?
The live stream will comprise of 4 parts
Firstly, there will be the normal Westminster briefing from Sir Geoffrey.
Secondly there will be our regular Q and A session focussing on restarting the economy safely.
Thirdly, there will be a new video section with updates from the North of the Cotswolds by Cllr Nigel Moor and the South by Cllr Richard Morgan.
Fourthly, there will two videos of how the Cotswolds is coping with Coronavirus initiatives where we want to disseminate good ideas on how communities and individuals are coping with Coronavirus so that everyone can learn from their experiences. This will include a video about the Cirencester Community Response initiative.
