Chamber Breakfast Meeting

This month’s speakers are ;

Benjamin Johns – South West Regional Cyber Crime Unit

SWRCCU specialise in cyber-dependent crime such as occurrences of DDoS, Ransomware & Network Intrusion and focus on providing support to SME, businesses, organisations, charities and other groups across the entire south west. As a Cyber Protect, Prepare & Prevent officer, one of my responsibilities is to ensure these groups do not become victims to cyber-crime in the first place. I will talking about the landscape of current cyber threats using real life cases we have investigated and more importantly how you can implement simple measures to protect against the vast majority of threats being utilised by attackers.”

Mike Woolf of AQIVA

Cirencester has several volunteer “friends of” groups, one of which, “AQIVA”, has a particular interest in the amphitheatre, Queens wood, 4 acre field and the obelisk. Mike Woolf of AQIVA will be giving a brief overview of the work that has taken place in these locations in recent times after many years of neglect, and of future plans.
