COVID-19 is quickly having a huge affect on both individuals and businesses and we know that we all face a difficult time ahead. Businesses have already had to postpone or cancel projects and events and many staff have had to self isolate in accordance with the government guidelines. Schools along with a large amount of businesses across the UK have closed, which has added to the uncertainty that we are all facing. The government has now also advised that those who can should work from home.

This is going to be a very challenging time for all of us, some a lot more than others. This terrible Virus will leave scars, both for families and businesses. What makes me most proud of our town is its sense of community, please remember this during this difficult time. Things are changing day-to-day at the moment. We need to continue to support each other as best we can and share our worries, ideas and solutions.

On behalf of the committee we wish all of you, both members and non-members, the best of luck. Please know that each and every one of you are in our thoughts.

Best wishes,

Annemarie Thurgood
