Lucy Cordrey, Owner, Director & Brewer of Corinium Ales
Lucy will take you on a tasty journey that started over 4,500 miles away and ended up “in the doghouse”, via her garage!
Lucy first discovered real ale whilst living up north many moons ago and has loved drinking it ever since. She never actually thought she’d end up brewing the stuff but a redundancy in 2011 led to an inspirational trip of a life time (with partner Colin Knight) to the USA and it was here whilst drinking a pint of Pako’s 6.8% IPA at Snake River Brewing, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the seed was first sown to set up a microbrewery back home in Cirencester.
After some intense training, research, brewing and beer tastings with the locals, Corinium Ales was launched in November 2012 and there has never been a dull moment since! Hear how Lucy and her partner Colin, have built the business over the last six years, what they encountered along the way and what they envisage for the future; all washed down with a few tasters of their award winning ales!
Lobbying & project brain storming session with Annemarie Thurgood and Adam Vines
The chamber intends to start lobbying on behalf of our members and work with different groups across our town and county to help both our members, and the wider business community within the town.
During this meeting we will be having a brainstorming session to talk about any issues businesses in Cirencester face at the moment, and how the Chamber and other organisations within the town could help to resolve them. We will also ask members to bring forward any positive initiatives that have happened, or are happening within the town that would benefit the business community that we could recreate or assist with.
Based on the discussions in the meeting an email will be sent out to the whole membership to collect votes on which one or possibly two things the Chamber will champion over the up coming months.
Chamber and Town News
There will be news from the Chamber about meeting dates, projects , and a brief update of developments in the town.
